Why Acorns?

Small Beginnings,
Deep Roots.

The name says it all: an acorn is small, but it contains everything needed for an oak tree. At Ambleside Preschool (Acorns), we take those early years seriously — not rushing children toward formal learning before they are ready, but nurturing curiosity, building strong foundations, and letting each child develop at their own pace.

Our Charlotte Mason approach to early childhood means that play is taken seriously as the work of childhood. Read-alouds happen every day. Time outdoors is non-negotiable. Children hear beautiful language, encounter wonderful stories, and develop the habits of attention and wonder that will serve them for the rest of their lives.
